The sounds of fast steps came nearer, and he heard Gabes loud curses as he started rattling at the door. Ryan knew he did not have much time. Gabe would break the door down by forcy in no time. But since the door was massive, he did not know exactly how long it would take him, but certainly not long enough for him to manage to get through that hatch somehow, he heard him
cursing furiously. Among other stuff,, he heard him say a few times that he was going to kill both of them, and that he had come to an end with his patience. The insanity in his voice was clear, Ryan did not have to be a clairvoyant to hear that this unexpected resistance and the fact that in his ingenious plan he hadnt considered Leyla being able to free him and then both of them locking themselves up in the loo. All of this drove him to the verge of lunacy. Ryan knew he had to get out immediately if he wanted to survive, because Gabe was in a very bad mental state and his voice had meanwhile gone into a dull murmur, which certainly did not promise any good. So he tried lift himself up to the hatch, through which Leyla had disappeared just a few moments ago. Sweat ran down his spine, and with a great deal of effort he clung to the wooden frame of the hatch. His hands hurt from the glass splinters, but he barely felt the pain, adrenaline poured through his body pushing him forward. He had to get out of here. As he struggled to the hatch and did not even know if he would ever be able to get through, because Leyla was a a lot smaller and thinner than him, meanwhile he heard Gabe banging with some object, probably an ax, against the door.
